Pelles.ai is an early-stage construction tech start-up at the forefront of technological innovation in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) pre-construction phase. Leveraging the power of generative AI, we deliver tailored solutions to the unique needs of MEP subcontractors.

We are looking for people who are passionate about solving problems with a can-do attitude to join the co-founders as one of the first employees of the company. As one of our first employees, you will be part of the founding team and will play a critical role in building our tech stack and product from scratch and shaping our company's culture.

What you’ll do

• Lead (working hands-on) the application software development: Design, develop, and implement end-to-end web application features
• Collaborate: Work closely with the co-founders to define requirements and transform ideas into functional software solutions for the construction industry
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development
• High proficiency in frontend technologies, including but not limited to TypeScript, with a thorough understanding of modern frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Vite, and Material-UI (MUI).
• A solid understanding of web-applications design-patterns, data structures and architecture, experience designing web applications end-to-end.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A creative mindset, eager to ideate, innovate, and bring new concepts to life.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience in integrating PDF and CAD formats into web applications, with the ability to seamlessly embed and manipulate these formats, effectively enhancing interactive user experiences, particularly in the construction domain.
• Experience in crafting responsive and adaptive designs to ensure optimal user experience across various devices and platforms.
• Familiarity in developing and deploying machine learning applications.
• Knowledge of backend technologies and RESTful APIs to facilitate effective collaboration with backend developers.
• Familiar with non-SQL, Vector, and Graph databases (e.g. MongoDB, Neo4j, Faiss, etc.)
• Knowledge of version control systems, like Git, for efficient team collaboration.
