Pelles.ai is an early-stage construction tech start-up at the forefront of technological innovation in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) pre-construction phase. Leveraging the power of generative AI, we deliver tailored solutions to the unique needs of MEP subcontractors.

We are looking for people who are passionate about solving problems with a can-do attitude to join the co-founders as the first employees of the company. As our first employee, you will be part of the founding team and will play a critical role in building our tech stack and product from scratch and shaping our company's culture.

What you’ll do

• Anything needed on the backend and machine learning development side (in python)
• Be an active part in developing state-of-the-art machine learning (LLM and CV) applications
• Backend Software Development: Design, develop, and implement end-to-end web application features and AI flows
• Collaborate: Work closely with the co-founders to define requirements and transform ideas into functional software solutions for the construction industry
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development with machine learning workflows
• Proven experience in Python development, and a solid understanding of web-applications design-patterns and data structures
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A creative mindset, eager to ideate, innovate, and bring new concepts to life.

Preferred Skills

• Background in developing and deploying machine learning applications. Familiarity with ML frameworks, e.g., PyTorch, and knowledge in NLP or CV is a plus
• Familiar with non-sql, vector, and graph databases (e.g. mongoDB, Neo4j, Faiss, etc.)
• Experience writing RESTful APIs
• AWS and Azure cloud services
• Experience in TypeScript and FE libraries (e.g React, vite, MUI)
